In general, without the green belt, the per capita green space in Ahvaz city is 11.8 square meters, which is lower than the national average.
He added: “We are trying to bring the per capita green space of Ahvaz to the national average, and for this purpose, 71 neighborhood parks have been designed in the city. If they are put into operation, 185 hectares will be added to the green space of Ahvaz city.”
The deputy mayor of Ahvaz continued: Karun river is one of the important elements of urban development in Ahvaz, which has not been acted upon for a long time, with the efforts made, the design of the green space around it with an area of 130 hectares has been done in general, and currently 15 Its hectare is running.
Pointing out that the supply of raw water needed by green spaces is one of the major problems in this area, he explained: Six plans have been planned to carry out the project of transferring raw water to the green spaces of Ahvaz with a budget of 150 billion Tomans. Hosseini added: The Ahvaz urban train project was closed for almost 8 years, so that the relevant contractor did not allow the municipality to enter and carry out the work. Finally, after the follow-up, the order was issued to evict the contractor, and we are in the process of handing over the project. We are following up on the implementation of the project through the Khatam Al-Anbia camp.
Referring to other construction projects of the Ahvaz Municipality, this official stated: the Republic Square overpass project will be special in the country, because in all bridges, the segments of the return route are separate, but in this project, for the first time in the country, A 25-meter segment has been used, this causes less occupancy and less damage to the road.
